Course Overview
This course aligns with TLILIC0040 – Licence to operate a non-slewing mobile crane (greater than 3 tonnes capacity) from the TLI Transport and Logistics Training Package.
Participants will develop the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a non-slewing mobile crane with a capacity exceeding 3 tonnes, in accordance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, Australian Standards, and industry best practices.
Successful completion is required to apply for a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) issued by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.

Prerequisites & Entry Requirements
🔹 Minimum Age: 18 years
🔹 Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN): Basic English reading and writing skills
🔹 Physical Requirements: A reasonable level of physical fitness is required for practical tasks
🔹 Identification: Provide 100 points of ID (e.g., driver licence, Medicare, passport)
🔹 Heavy Vehicle Licence: Required if intending to drive the crane on public roads
🔹 Unique Student Identifier (USI): Must be provided prior to course commencement

📆 Full Course: 4 days – includes classroom theory, practical training, and assessment

📖 Prelearning: Includes online pre-learning followed by in-person practical training and assessment

Assessment Methods
Assessment includes:
📖 Theory Assessment: Written and/or digital multiple-choice and short-answer questions
🛠 Practical Assessment: Crane operation tasks in accordance with licensing standards
📋 Workplace Assessment (if applicable): Can be conducted onsite under certain conditions.
🔔 All practical training and assessment components must be completed in person at an approved training facility or workplace.
Certificate & Outcome
Upon successful completion, participants will receive:
🎓 Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0040 - Licence to operate a non-slewing mobile crane (greater than 3 tonnes capacity)
🎫 Eligibility to apply for a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) through Workplace Health and Safety QLD
This course is nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
🔔 Important: Upon successful completion, participants will receive an Assessment Summary (AS1), which is required when applying for a High Risk Work Licence through WHSQ. Licence application fees are not included and must be paid directly to Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.

Eligibility criteria:
✔️ Must be currently employed or an active participant in the Queensland construction industry
✔️ Must meet CSQ funding eligibility requirements
✔️ Must hold evidence of working in a construction industry. (e.g., White Card, Blue Card, SOA, QBCC Card, Work Card, Invoice, etc)
✔️ CSQ funding is not available retrospectively
✔️ Subject to availability and CSQ policy changes
