Application
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to perform a rescue from live low voltage (LV) electrical apparatus in an electricity supply industry (ESI) environment. This does not include overhead lines and underground cables.
Pre-Requisites
- Blue or Green Electrical Licence or;
- UEECD0007 Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace or;
- UETDREL006 Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker.
These competencies may have been included in their electrical apprenticeship/certificate. We will need a copy of your Statement of Attainment showing you have completed either of those competencies. If they aren’t sure, students can log into their USI account and download a USI transcript (anything prior to 2015, we will need a copy of their Statement of Attainment/transcript of units completed). Students will need to upload a copy of their transcript as proof of completion of either unit.

It is essential that you have fundamental skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. An assessment in Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) may be necessary before you can enrol. Achievement Recognition
Participants who fulfill all the necessary assessment criteria, settle any outstanding payments, and provide all the requisite supporting documents will receive a Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment along with a Photographic Identification Card.
Validity & Renewal of Course
Typically, this course requires renewal every 5 years. However, depending on specific industry or organisational standards, a more frequent or extended renewal period might be necessary. Participants are allowed to update their skills at any point during this timeframe to meet any industry or company requirements.
