Course Overview

✅ Conducting hazard identification and implementing risk control measures
✅ Safely isolating electrical sources
✅ Selecting, checking, and using personal protective equipment (PPE)
✅ Executing rescue operations from live low voltage panels
✅ Applying workplace emergency procedures and basic casualty management
✅ Understanding and complying with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and Australian Standards
Prerequisites & Entry Requirements
🔹 Prerequisites: Participants must have completed HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation and one of the following:
UEECD0007 – Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace, or
UETDREL006 – Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker, or
Hold a current restricted or unrestricted electrical licence
🔹 Minimum Age: 16 years
🔹 Language, Literacy & Numeracy: Basic proficiency in English and numeracy is required to read signs, complete forms, and follow procedures
🔹 Identification: Participants must provide 100 points of valid ID (e.g., driver’s licence, passport, Medicare card, bank card)
Course Duration
📆 Full Course: Approximately 6 hours, including both theory and practical components
📆 Refresher Course: Required every 12 months under WHSQ guidelines
📆 RPL: Assessment time may vary depending on prior evidence and experience

📍 Workplace-based Assessment: Where appropriate, assessments can be conducted on-site
All assessments are conducted in accordance with the principles of competency-based training.
Certificate & Outcome
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for:
UETDRMP007 – Perform Rescue from a Live Low Voltage Panel
This qualification is nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and meets the requirements under the Electrical Safety Regulation 2013 (QLD) for maintaining LVR currency.
📌 Note: Electrical workers in Queensland are required to refresh their LVR competency every 12 months in accordance with industry standards. Corrsafe RTO 40621 offers a 12-month grace period beyond the expiry date at our discretion.

✔️ Participants must be employed in the Queensland building and construction industry or meet CSQ eligibility criteria.
✔️ Must hold evidence of working in a construction industry. (e.g., White Card, Blue Card, SOA, QBCC Card, Work Card, Invoice, etc)
✔️ CSQ funding cannot be applied retrospectively.
✔️ Funding availability is subject to verification and CSQ guidelines.
