Course Overview

This course is suitable for individuals who:

Prerequisites & Entry Requirements

🔹 Prerequisites: Participants must have completed HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation and one of the following:

UEECD0007 – Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace, or

UETDREL006 – Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker, or

Hold a current unrestricted electrical licence (Blue Electrical Licence)

🔹 Minimum Age: 16 years

🔹 English Language: Participants must complete a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment to ensure they can meet course requirements. We offer LLN assistance, learning support, and referrals to other services. Speak with our team before enrolment if you require additional assistance.
🔹 Physical Fitness: A reasonable level of fitness is required for the practical components.
🔹 Identification: Valid photo ID (e.g. Driver Licence)
🔹 USI Requirement: Participants must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to enrol. Visit www.usi.gov.au for more info.
🔹 PPE: Participants must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including high-visibility shirt or vest, and closed in shoes.

📋 Note: All participants complete a brief Learner Suitability Self-Assessment at the start of the course to confirm their readiness and identify any support needs.

Course Duration

The total volume of learning includes supervised training, supervised assessment, and any required unsupervised/self-paced study.

Course Delivery Methods

📖 Face-to-Face Delivery – Trainer-led theory and practical training delivered at Corrsafe’s training centre or onsite at your workplace.

📖 Blended Delivery – Complete the theory component online (self-paced), then attend in-person practical training and assessment.

📖 Workplace Training – Customised onsite delivery tailored to your organisation’s needs.

📖 Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – Available for candidates with verified and relevant prior experience.

Note: Regardless of delivery mode, all practical components must be completed face-to-face under the supervision of a qualified assessor to meet licensing and competency requirements.

Assessment Methods

Assessment is conducted in line with the principles of competency-based training and includes:

📖 Knowledge Assessment – Written/multiple-choice questions to assess underpinning theory and legislative knowledge.

🛠 Practical Demonstration – Simulated rescue from a live low voltage panel, including hazard identification, PPE selection, isolation procedures, and casualty management.

📋 Scenario-Based Assessment – Application of rescue procedures within realistic workplace scenarios, following organisational and safety requirements.

All assessments must be completed in person under the observation of a qualified assessor, using industry-standard equipment, and in accordance with the unit’s assessment conditions and licensing requirements.

Certificate & Outcome

Upon successful completion of all training and assessment requirements, participants will be issued with a:

This Statement of Attainment is:
✔️ Nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF)
✔️ Issued by Corrsafe Enterprises Pty Ltd – RTO 40621
✔️ Meets the Electrical Safety Regulation 2013 (QLD) requirement for maintaining LVR competency

📌 Currency Requirements:
Electrical workers in Queensland must refresh their LVR training every 12 months to maintain compliance with WHSQ and Electrical Safety Office requirements.

This course is eligible for Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) funding under the Short Courses Program (Construction).

💰 Subsidy Amount: $69.00

Eligibility criteria:
✔️ Must be currently employed in the Queensland building and construction industry, or be an eligible participant under CSQ guidelines.
✔️ Evidence of industry engagement is required (e.g., White Card, Blue Card, Statement of Attainment, QBCC licence, site induction card, work invoice, or other proof of industry work).
✔️ Funding cannot be applied retrospectively.
✔️ Funding availability is subject to verification and CSQ terms.

📌 Important: CSQ funding applies only to UETDRMP007 – Perform Rescue from a Live Low Voltage Panel.

Funding is subject to CSQ approval and availability. Eligibility must be confirmed before enrolment. Subsidies apply to tuition fees only and do not cover personal costs such as PPE.
