Course Overview
The RIIMPO321F – Conduct Civil Construction Wheeled Front End Loader Operations unit provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a wheeled front end loader in civil construction, mining support, infrastructure, local government, and related site-based environments.
This course covers planning and preparing for loader operations, conducting pre-start inspections, operating the loader to lift, carry and place materials, attaching and using buckets or relevant attachments, and relocating and shutting down equipment in accordance with workplace procedures and WHS legislation.
Training focuses on safe operating techniques, load handling, machine stability, hazard identification and control, and working effectively in varied site conditions while maintaining environmental and operational compliance.

Prerequisites & Entry Requirements
🔹 Minimum Age: Participant must be at least 16 years of age.
🔹 English Language: Participants must complete a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment to ensure they can meet course requirements. We offer LLN assistance, learning support, and referrals to other services. Speak with our team before enrolment if you require additional assistance.
🔹 Physical Fitness: A reasonable level of fitness is required for the practical components.
🔹 Identification: Valid photo ID, please refer to page 9 of Evidence of Identity document.
🔹 USI Requirement: Participants must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to enrol. Visit www.usi.gov.au for more info. Corrsafe verifies each USI with the Registrar prior to use, in accordance with the Student Identifiers Act.
🔹 PPE: Participants must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including high-visibility clothing and enclosed footwear (preferably steel-cap boots). Training and assessment will be conducted using an industry-standard wheeled front end loader and relevant attachments
📋 Note: All participants complete a brief Learner Suitability Self-Assessment at the start of the course to confirm their readiness and identify any support needs.
Course Duration & Volume of Learning
A typical wheeled front end loader course is delivered over:
🔹 1 day for experienced operators
🔹 1–2 days for new or inexperienced learners
Duration may vary depending on participant experience, class size, site conditions, and assessment outcomes.

📖 Knowledge assessment (written and/or oral questioning)
🛠 Practical demonstration of wheeled front end loader operations including:
Pre-start inspections, safe operation and manoeuvring, lifting, carrying and placing materials, hazard identification and risk control, use of bucket and attachments, and parking, shutdown, and securing equipment
📄 Completion of relevant workplace documentation (e.g., risk assessments or pre-start checklists)
All assessment tasks are mapped to the unit’s elements, performance criteria, and evidence requirements.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a:

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Corrsafe offers Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for experienced operators who believe they already possess the skills and knowledge required for RIIMPO321F – Conduct civil construction wheeled front end loader operations
