Corrsafe RTO 40621 offers the G1, G8, G9 training program, designed for individuals undertaking supervisory roles in the Resources Industry. This course equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to effectively perform supervisory duties in Civil Construction, Coal Mining, Drilling, Extractive, and Metalliferous Mining operations.
The Mining Industry Supervisor (S123) qualification is a mandatory requirement for anyone authorised to supervise workers in the Resources Industry. It is recognised by the Coal Mining Safety and Health Advisory Committee and the Mining Safety and Health Advisory Committee for supervisory positions on mine sites.
This course aligns with the legislative requirements of:
Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 (Division 2, Section 56)
Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999 (Division 2, Section 51)
To maintain compliance, these competencies must be refreshed at least every five years, as outlined in Part 11, Regulation 84 of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Regulation 2017 (Qld).

G8 – RIIWHS301E – Conduct safety and Health Investigations
G9 – RIICOM301E – Communicate Information
Admission Criteria
This course does not have any formal prerequisites. Nonetheless, it is essential that you have fundamental skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. An assessment in Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) may be necessary before you can enrol.

Achievement Recognition
Participants who fulfill all the necessary assessment criteria, settle any outstanding payments, and provide all the requisite supporting documents will receive a Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment.
Validity & Renewal of Course
Typically, this course requires renewal every 5 years. However, depending on specific industry or organisational standards, a more frequent or extended renewal period might be necessary. Participants are allowed to update their skills at any point during this timeframe to meet any industry or company requirements.
