CORRSAFE TRAINING & SAFETY SERVICES
LEARN WITH US – SUBSIDISED TRAINING – STRONGER FUTURES IN CONSTRUCTION
As a Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) registered training supplier, Corrsafe Training and Safety has provided subsidised training courses to eligible building and construction workers, unemployed construction workers, and apprentices in Queensland since 1 October 2019.

HOW FUNDING WORKS
Construction Skills Queensland funding is paid directly to Corrsafe. Where Construction Skills Queensland funding does not cover the full cost of the program, you will be required to contribute towards the remaining course fees.
SHORT COURSES
The Construction Skills Queensland Short Courses Program provides funding for several competencies and skill sets for existing workers or those unemployed wanting to update their skills and knowledge in specific areas.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

WHAT IS ON OFFER?
Eligible participants can access a range of accredited short courses.
ACCREDITED SHORT COURSES
An accredited short course or skill set comprises nationally recognised units of competency. These units may be applied as credits to a related qualification later if you choose to study a full certificate or diploma.
When you successfully complete your accredited units, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment.
ELIGIBILITY
Eligible Participants can only undertake 8 units of competency in total under the Short Courses Program, which includes both Building and Civil. Within the 8 units of competency the following limits also apply: Participants can only undertake 3 High Risk Work Licences. Participants can only undertake 3 Mobile Plant.
Participants must be ONE of the below:

*A commemorative birth certificate cannot be accepted |

Self Employed in the Building & Construction Industry | QLeave Building and Construction Member Statement (current statement showing credits within last 4 years) OR Relevant current Licence (as per listing)* OR ABN/ACN registration showing ownership and Invoices for recent work in the industry. OR Statutory Declaration providing details of employment including role and duties within the Building and Construction Industry. |
An unemployed eligible worker (unemployed for a period not greater than 4 years who would otherwise meet the requirements of an Eligible Worker) | QLeave Building and Construction Member Statement (current statement showing credits within last 4 years) OR Relevant current Licence (as per listing)* OR Statutory Declaration providing details of relevant employment including employer, role and duties within the Building and Construction Industry |
An active apprentice or trainee, registered in Queensland, undertaking an apprenticeship or traineeship as per the CSQ approved listing. | Employer letter (on letter head, dated and signed by the employer) confirming apprenticeship details including the Commencement Date, Registration Number and Qualification** OR DESBT Commencement letter to verify Commencement Date, Registration Number and Qualification** |
